Stefanie Schulte
Stefanie Schulte is a German artist who studied Visual Arts in Spain
and is now based in Jerrabomberra, Australia.
She holds four degrees in Visual Arts, a Spanish "Licentiate" Degree (BFA + MFA),
a "Diploma de Estudios Avanzados del Tercer Ciclo” (Honours degree) and a PhD.
Initially her work was centred in the medium of sculpture and has been shown in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands. Her sculptures won the “Kunstförderpreis” award in her home town Neuss (near Düsseldorf, Germany, 2000) and the First Prize in the annual awards of the town of Ayllón, Spain (also 2000).
After completing her PhD in Visual Arts in 2005, she stopped her creative work to focus on her young family, who was then based in central London.
Arriving in Australia in 2015, she set up a new studio and, inspired by the light & colours of the country, she reconnected with her creative self, but this time focusing on painting.
She has exhibited her paintings in Australia, USA, Sweden and Germany.
